AUCTION DAY:

Kerleys have auctions every fortnight on a Tuesday with a morning and an afternoon session.

 

FORTNIGHTLY AUCTION DATES: 2019 calendar

 

VIEWING DAY: 

Our showrooms are open for viewing on the Monday prior to auction day from 9am - 6pm, with the opportunity to view on auction day from 9:00am onwards. 

 

RECEIVAL DAYS:

Kerleys receive goods every Wednesday & Thursday between 9am - 5pm. Loading Zone: 3 Ryan Place (North end) Geelong. 

 

PICKUP:

We offer a pick-up and delivery service made by appointment with our staff.  

 

REMOVAL SERVICE:

Kerleys *NOW OFFER* removals of furniture and general goods with 2 removalists at delivery rates. Call our office to organise your removal.

 SELLING ITEMS: 

 

WHY SELL AT KERLEYS?

To leave the stress of advertising, price determination and liaison with prospective buyers in our capable hands. Large numbers of prospective buyers pass through our doors each week, maximizing your item's sale potential. Let our experienced staff manage the selling process for you. 

 

WHEN IS THE AUCTION HELD?

EVERY FORTNIGHT on Tuesday from 9.30am until approx. 4.00pm, (Depending on the amount of Lots in the Sale.) *See Fortnightly Calendar on the Left Panel. 

 

WHEN CAN I BRING MY GOODS IN?

Every Wednesday and Thursday 9am - 5pm. There is a loading zone in Ryan Place (off Little Ryrie Street) for your convenience.

 

WHAT SELLLING FEES ARE INVOLVED?

19.8% (Inc. GST) of the hammer price, or $6.60 (Inc. GST) for each Lot sold at $30 or less. This commission covers all associated bookwork, setting up, display, advertising and auctioning of your goods. We will negotiate our fee for single-owner collections with a total value of over $10,000. Please call to discuss this further if your goods require special attention. 

Kerleys staff can advise you on estimated prices for your goods upon request.

 

RESERVES: 

Yes! Kerley's can advise you on reserves taking into consideration your item's market value. You can email photos to us so that we can ascertain the suitability of your goods for auction. Email here and provide your contact information. 

NOTE: Please note that any lounge suites must be in excellent condition for us to be able to sell. Lounge suites that show signs of wear eg. (fading, marks, tears, cat scratching or loose frames etc) have a minimal market value and therefore we do not accept such suites for auction. 

 

WHAT HAPPENS IF MY ITEM IS UNSOLD OR PASSED IN?

In the event of an item being "passed in" or unsold at auction, the items will be re-auctioned in the following sale, unless the vendor instructs to have the item withdrawn. [Any withdrawn items will need to be collected immediately and cannot remain on premises]. Items have the opportunity for a maximum of 3 auction attempts and will be guaranteed sale by the third, at the best offer. Kerleys do NOT charge for unsold lots. 

 

SALE PROCEEDS: 

The proceeds from the sale of goods will be available for collection from 9am on the Thursday following Tuesdays Auction, provided we have been paid in full by the buyer. If you prefer we can send you a cheque in the mail upon request. You will receive an invoice detailing how much each item sold for at Auction. 

 

PICKUP & DELIVERY SERVICE:  

Takes place every fortnight on Friday, Monday & Tuesday post auction week. Bookings can be arranged with Auctioneer (Richard) on: (03) 5223 1533 any time during office hours. Our hourly rate is $100 Per Hour (Inc. G.S.T) and is based on time taken to load, unload and travel time.  

 

**NEW REMOVAL SERVICE:  

Kerleys now offer removals of furniture and general goods, via appointment. Our hourly rate is $100 Per Hour (Inc. G.S.T) and is based on time taken to load, unload, travel time and includes two removalists. Call our office to organise your removal.
